Teeth Whitening New Jersey Teeth Whitening New Jersey

As implicit from the name, teeth whitening New Jersey is a cosmetic procedures applied in order to whiten the teeth so the patient will have a brighter smile. The process is good for people with healthy gum and teeth that have no fillings. Normally, better result is obtained on patients that have yellow tones to their teeth. It is good also to mention that the procedure is not good for everybody. For example children below the age of 16 and pregnant as well as nursing mothers are not supposed to undergo this procedure.

There are three ways through which the process of teeth whitening New Jersey can be applied. These options are the use of whitening toothpaste, at-home bleaching, and in-office bleaching. The first option involves the use of whitening toothpastes. These whitening toothpastes contain chemical agent (hydrogen peroxide) or gentle polishing that will help to whiten the teeth and achieve stain removal more than ordinary toothpaste. The use of whitening toothpaste does not involve any prescription from any doctor because it is an over the counter product.

However, the use of whitening toothpaste is found wanting when compared with light-activated teeth whitening New Jersey procedure carried out in a dentist's office. At home bleaching is of different types. The first option here involves the use of whitening strips and gels. The whitening gels are applied directly to the surface of the teeth with the aid of small brush. The whitening gels are peroxide based also and are to be applied 2 times per day for fourteen days. Patients using this gel will see result within few days of its application.

The whitening strips are very small strips. They are coated with the whitening gels and they are applied two times per day for 14 days. Normally, when it is applied it has to be applied for 30 minutes. The peroxide contained in these products is not as concentrated as those used in the dentist office. The use of these over the count product can help to whiten the teeth but the result is not as effective as the one obtained in the office of teeth whitening New Jersey dentist. However, the use of these over the counter products is not costly.

Tray based tooth whiten procedures is another method through which teeth whitening New Jersey can be achieved. This is also an over the counter product. You can buy the product either in a pharmacy or even from your doctor's office. In this process, a mouth like tray is filled with bleaching agent for whitening the teeth. The tray is then worn on the teeth for a couple of hours daily for 4 weeks. It can also be worn for a longer period until the desired result is obtained.

There is a difference between all these means of teeth whiten New Jersey process that can be achieved at home and the process of whitening teeth that can be achieved in the dentist office. The difference lies in the degree of whiteness that is achieved. When the process is done in the dentist office whiter teeth are gotten.
